Epson leads projector market
Epson

Epson, a global leader in imaging products including printers, 3LCD projectors and small and medium-sized LCDs has taken the number one position in the UK projector market.

Market data shows Epson taking market leadership in this highly competitive market. During the calendar year 2006 vs. 2005 the market increased by 7,500 units, an increase of 2.7% whilst Epson’s volume increased by 15% putting it firmly in the number one spot with a 14.4% share.

Stuart Davis, Business Manager, Epson UK comments; “There are a number of factors which have contributed to our number one position. Epson is committed to developing premium-quality, innovative imaging technologies. For example the fantastic features of multi-screen technology and USB connectivity of the EMP-1715 are two world-firsts for Epson. These innovations have been specifically designed to provide presenters with greater functionality, increased flexibility and premium quality output.

“For the education market, Epson has developed projectors with meaningful anti-theft security features. Epson understands that the damage to schools from burglary is not only monetary; the loss in teaching time and resources can be just as serious.

“To combat this, Epson has pioneered the EMP-X3e and EMP-82e, which require a password to be entered whenever disconnected from the mains power and can only be operated via remote control – there isn’t even an on/off button on the projector. Simply put, the projectors will not work if removed from the premises without access to the pin code and remote control.
